Summary:
Personal storage table (PST) files are so important as if PST gets corrupt then the user cannot access his/her mailbox. Usually, PST files have a limitation of 2GB but if it crosses this limit then either the server will crash or the mailbox tables of outlook may get corrupt and unreadable.
